Bruce Reynolds, 1 metre English /1 metre Scottish, was born in Bahrain and grew up in Central America and the Caribbean. He spent many years in London and lived in France, Germany and presently in Switzerland.

He started playing classical guitar as a schoolboy and was taught by Georges Sergides who introduced him to his first taste of spanish and south american guitar music. Being a young guitarist in London in the late 70's led to spells in his first rock bands and first professional work.

Leaving the UK for France he met gypsy swing players while he lived in the north of Paris who blew his mind with their playing and their love of Django Reinhardt, who is still one of Bruce's main influences today.

After a year in Germany where he played the Olympic Centre in Munich with German jazz rockers Parzival, he toured Europe with the Hectors.

Settling in Switzerland for a couple of years he played with Extrem-Normal, one of the happening Swiss bands of the 80's. He did 2 tours with them of Switzerland and Europe.

He had an 8 month stint as guitarist for the Dutch Rock Opera, Ik, Jan Kremer before moving back to London in the mid 80's. One of the first jobs he got was composing the music for the Battersea Power Station Development Project.

He quickly established himself as a sought after session player and after a couple of years landed the gig as guitarist with UK rock legends John McCoy and Nicky Moore in Mammoth.

After Moore left the band unexpectedly in 1990 Bruce got involved in the Notting Hill gate music scene and met musicians who he worked with over the next 13 years as session and live guitarist such as U-Cef, Bill Hurley (with the Fullmoon Blues Band), songwriter Nick Graham, Mark Sayfritz (D.O.G. / Verve/ EMI) Sarah Jay (Massive Attack), Leroy Quyntyn Band and Colin Peel as well as touring with the Gilbert O'Sullivan Band.

He started working as a producer in the mid 90's with the Swiss band Big Business on their debut CD "Something Must be Wrong" (Rec Rec)

This led to the production of Mich Gerber's first CD, Mystery Bay, which Bruce recorded in London and mixed in Switzerland.

He then produced a solo classical guitar CD (the Classical Album), a live CD in Moscow with Bill Hurley, as well as the London Blues Band in the early noughties.

During all this time Bruce wrote and recorded music for loads of different projects and now has a huge back catalogue of material.

In 2003 he once again uprooted and left for Europe where he continued production working on Chris Jaussi's first CD, 5 Blue, as well as forming his own band, the Bruce Reynolds Rock Trio. The first Rock Trio CD will be out in early 2009 as well as his long awaited solo CD due out in December 2008.

All the various influences and experiences of his playing career have turned him into a real eclectic of the guitar. His style embraces hard rock, pure blues, gypsy swing, arabic and classical guitar. At the present his highly original guitar can be heard on the road with his Rock Trio and with the Hot Club de Maygut. Although a fan of Satriani and the great US guitarists, he clearly comes from a British rock background and while tipping his hat to the greats such as Hendrix and Django he still manages to do what is virtually impossible these days... having something fresh and original to say on the rock guitar.
